Email:bonsail(at)mail2000.com.tw MIN HSUAN LO received the grand prize of the JAL world bonsai contest in 1999, and he has won countless other honors since , that's include Ficus, Juniper, Chinese pistachio, Mini Size bonsai & Deciduous tree. From 1997 He has traveled to Malaysia, The Philippines, South Africa, India, USA, China, Puerto Rico & Indonesia, .for bonsai demonstration, lecture, and workshop. Lo was born in 1956 in Central bonsai garden. The family bonsai nursery was built by his father in 1947. As a child Lo was at his father side learning the art of bonsai. After graduating from the University in Chinese literature department Lo return home to create bonsai. He began teaching bonsai in Taiwan in 1992. In 2001 he started bonsai teaching in Ken Kuo Technical University and in 2004, he become the bonsai teacher in Pei Tou Community University. He was one of the founders of Taiwan Bonsai Creators Association in 1998, now he is the Chairman. TBCA is the most active & powerful bonsai association in Taiwan. Now TBCA has 137 professional bonsai artist. Lo contribute articles for Bonsai Club International, also for International Bonsai, Bonsai today & Bonsai Actual. He became BCI editorial staff & director in 2007, throughout 2007 BCI will be publishing Lo’s article in every issue. He has received the BCI 2007 artist, writer & photographer’s award. Lo is famous for so called “LO’S STYLE”, with lots of vertical curves on the old huge trees. This unique style is derived from the natural old trees in the field, combined with the beauty line from the Chinese calligraphy, and life philosophy of ancient Chinese philosopher. 鄭誠恭先生中文自傳簡述 在1980年一個偶然的機會下，我深深的被盆栽藝術所折服與啟發。在抱負與家人的支持下，展開了從事「盆栽創作」藝術，更逐漸地成為我一生的職志。 盆栽創作中最重要的議題是如何展現出每一種樹種的精神與特色。像真柏生長在高海拔、險峻的地形與貧瘠的土地上，受惡劣環境影響其根、幹、枝皆張顯出在逆境中那種「克服困難」「互助」與「協調」的景象。因此，盆栽藝術的昇華便是如何將這些特質在真柏盆栽中重現出來。 爲了突破機械刀具的限制，不留下人為雕刻的痕跡，我採用了一種以手工抽絲的特殊雕刻技法稱為「絲雕」，再經由整枝，使真柏盆栽不僅表現出自然的美感，更顯現如絲狀般的質感。 我非常願意將過去的經驗與大家分享與交流，希望我們能相互學習，在未來盆栽創作的路途上，一同克服困難。
