I was raised in Taichung County, Taiwan, graduated in Taichung Business College, and retired from military service in 1975. I became the chief president of a furniture company- Sen-Yi Enterprise, and Bonsai art has been my main hobby aside from my career. In 2002, I was the founder of the Chinese Pine Tree Bonsai Associationand later became the first presidentof it. I’ve been a fan of Bonsai art for 30 years and have benefited from it so much. So far, I own 300 pine Bonsai trees and the 2-hectare yard of trees. I’ve never seized researching and creating in the field of Bonsai Biosociety for I sincerely appreciate the depth in heart Bonsai art can bring to people. Times are changing and we face a busy world nowadays. People need to bring their leisure time entertainment to another level. Taiwanese agriculture, recently provided more than demanded, has been forced to develop in an exquisite way. However, planting Bonsai or trees proves to be the best way to simultaneously beautify the living environment, clarify the air we breathe, assist in our environmental issues, help modify the leisure life in our society, and promote the unique culture of our country. We could always befriend culturally with other countries with Bonsai art, and I’m willing to offer what I know in this matter to share with others that enjoy it like it’s the best thing in life.
