胡海洲 Hai-Chew, Hoo Singapore
Email:hhc_bonsai(at)signet.com.sg I, Hai-Chew, Hoo, was a citizen of Singapore born in 1941 with a heritage from Anxi County of Fujian Province. Due to my love for the mountains, waters, and fields of nature, I expanded this love to natural-view Bonsai as well. I started learning Bonsai design in 1966 and deeply felt its difference compared to other arts. It is never-ending. In order to give your work creativity and break-through, you need to communicate and compare among the works of your friends very frequently. You also need to observe very closely the plants and views around you. Especially for creating natural-view Bonsai, it is essential to visit all the famous rivers and mountains in this world. This is also why I love to travel. Just to list out a few - Huang Mountain, Chang Jia Jie, Guilin natural view, Sihu in Hangzhou in China; Ali Mountain, Su-Hua Highway, Hualien, Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan; The Twelve Apostles in Australia, Grand Canyon in America, and Rocky Mountain in Canada, etc. These places have all been stored in my mind, and they have inspired me so much when I design. Imagination itself could not offer so much liveliness. 胡海洲先生 本人胡海洲生於1941年是新加坡公民，祖耤福建省安溪縣。 由於酷愛大自然的高山大河與田園風光，因此對山水盆景情有獨鍾。 1966年開始學習創作。深覺盆栽藝術與其它藝術不一樣，它是永無止境的，要使作品有創意與突破，必須多與同好交流與切磋，互相觀摩，並細心觀察周遭的植物與景觀，尤其是製作山水盆景，更須四處遊覽名山大川與各國名勝，因此本人喜愛旅遊，舉凡中國的黃山、張家界、桂林山水、杭州的西湖；台灣的阿里山、蘇花公路、花蓮、日月潭；澳洲的十二門徒，美國的大峽谷，加拿大的洛磯山等優美景色，都深深地烙印在我的腦海中，也啟發我很多作品的創作靈感。若僅憑空想像，是製作不出其中的韻味的。 國際盆栽賞石協會(B.C.I.)的組織，給各國的愛好者，提供了交流與切磋的機會。期望盆景藝術能在世界藝術領域中發出光芒！
