Stefano Frisoni Italy
Stefano was born in Rimini, Italy in 1967; has a degree in Agricultural techniques, and began practicing Bonsai art in 1994. This passion pushed him to look for new techniques and advanced ways of working drawn from different ways of interpreting Bonsai, and then he passed the information to beginners. In 2003, together with his teacher, he founded the Bonsai school “Progetto Futuro” which became one of the four Italian schools officially recognized by UBI (Unione Bonsaisti Italiani). His professional skill in bonsai art has been recognised in 2004, becoming a member of IBS (Italian Bonsai and Suiseki teacher association). He contribute to specialized magazines and actively attends National and European exhibitions. He has obtained several prizes, among them: UBI 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007. Ginkgo Bonsai Award 2003, 2005, 2007. Certrè Award International 2005, 2006, 2007. Demonstrator during IXth IBS Congress 2005. He prefers to work on Yamadori trees, both indigenous and from import, keeping particular attention to aesthetic and artistic aspects, giving to his work elegance and nature aspect.
