Xu Wen China Xu Wen was born in October 1953. He is the master of Guangdong Lingna bonsai art. He was recently elected President of Bonsai Association of Zhongshan City. Since 1987, he began planting, pruning and studying bonsai. He has more than 200 bonsai with more than 20 different varieties. His planting field is about 5 acres. His skill of cultivation and pruning of Lingna bonsai is very accomplished, and he has created a unique technique in “cutting the trunk and growing branches” of Lingna bonsai. He pays attention to the complete bonsai composition and existing shape and spirit of the structure. Xu Wen looks for the image that represents both refined and popular tastes and applies the techniques to other schools. His works are natural, lively, smooth and clear. Nature is the source of his Lingna character; 3D painting and constant shaping every inch gives his Lingna clear personal style. He has received awards many times in international, national, provincial and city exhibitions.
