I began my full time bonsai career in 1986. over the years i was more drawn to the Chinese styles and techniques and since 1994 I have visited china each year to gain more knowledge. Several of my trees have been awarded gold medals, some of which are included in the chen brother's book, 'gold awarded Penjing of the world'. In January 2007 i was invited to Join the Guangzhou Penjing association, an absolute honor as I am the only westerner /non Chinese to be invited to become a member. the sharing of knowledge, for me, is paramount. I have many students and give demos around the UK and Ireland teaching and being taught is a great joy and constantly increases my passion for the art of Penjing.
