The Ben Oki International Design Award has been discontinued as of 2006.
Bonsai Clubs International would like to thank Charles and Cheryl Owens who sponsored this contest for beginning bonsai enthusiasts for the past fifteen years. Their desire to honor their bonsai teacher, Ben Oki, and to encourage beginning bonsai artists, has contributed greatly to the bonsai world.
