Mario Pavone started his career in the bonsai world about 20 years ago, starting as an autodidact. Later he attended some courses of the "Bonsai School" with Maestro Hideo Suzuki, also attending some of his Workshops.

In 2004 he started the "Studio Botanico" School of Maestro Salvatore Liporace, from which he learned the lines of modern bonsai.
He has attended numerous workshops with important international masters including Minoru Akiyama, Kunyo Kobayashi etc. and regularly participates in the most important international exhibitions.
He has been called as a demonstrator at several international events, including the Swiss national exhibition, the European bonsai Show in Saulieu, the 4 frontier trophy in Metz as well as regularly demonstrating in Italian national exhibitions.
He writes articles for numerous bonsai magazines and in 2014 published a book concerning "Dry wood in bonsai".
