Texas State Convention, “East meets West”

Houston Bonsai Society and the Lone Star Bonsai Federation are hosting the Texas State Convention, "East meets West,"  April 10-13, 2014. Held at the Marriott Houston Westchase, will feature guest artists, Arthur Joura, David DeGroot and Pedro Morales.

2014, April 5 – 6, VI Association and Enthusiasts Bonsai Conference, Tarragona, Spain

On April the 5th & 6th Mistral Bonsai celebrates their 6th Association and enthusiast Bonsai Conference. It has been organized every year by the company at its facilities in Camarles, Tarragona, Spain, and it is all about bonsai and everything that surrounds it as well as other disciplines related to the Oriental culture.

The event counted with distinguished authorities from the bonsai’s word, special mention to the participation of the great Tony Tickle from United Kingdom. Tony has published extensively and his bonsais have been selected in four editions of the Gingko awards and he participates in world conferences and many European events. He currently does exhibitions in clubs, associations and other organizations in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe.

Demonstrations by other masters: Miguel Angel Gonzalez Duran and Luis Vila “El Tim”. They are representative of the great job that Spanish masters are doing in the bonsai culture.

As well as the activities about bonsai, there were also other complementary events, like an exposition of Koi fishes, prebonsai workshops, origami, …
