A Gift to the Bonsai and Suiseki World
There is excitement all over the country brought about by the holiday spirit and the ongoing bonsai and suiseki exhibitions. PBSI has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1973, continuously spreading its mission and vision from North to South, East and West of the archipelago.
The organization’s grand culminating activity-the annual PBSI National Exhibition & Competition with over three hundred trees and stones on show-is the highlight anticipated by members and the curious public. Miniature gems arrive by land,sea and air, carefully crated to preserve their sublime charms.
This amazing scene plays out in 2016 on a bigger stage as the Phil. Bonsai Society and the Natural Stone Society of the Philippines host the BCI Convention and Exhibition 2016 Philippines. The international event isn’t just a convention-it is a celebration of the art of bonsai and suiseki. It also o ers a glimpse at our country’s unique culture and trademark hospitality that welcomes people with open hearts and friendly smiles.
A post Convention Tour of Palawan is being planned, so delegates can relax and take in the captivating surrounds of a destination that was voted as “World’s best island” by Conde Naste Traveler for a second year in a row.
