 e 90th Kokufu-ten was held at the basement of the Metropolitan Art Museum from February 5th –8th, and 10th–13th, 2016.  e second part of this world famous Bonsai exhibition took place at the same time as the Suiseki exhibition of NSA.  erefore it was possible to see apart from excellent Suiseki also most outstanding Bonsai. At this time, a Bonsai market was open at Ueno Green Club. A shuttle bus went regularly every half hour between the museum and this trader area for Bonsai and Bonsai related items. Many traders had stands at the three storey building of the Green Club or outside in the courtyard.  ere was a wide selection of pre-Bonsai, small and big Bonsai and even masterpieces, accent plants, Suiseki,  gurines and other display items–meaning everything a Bonsai or Suiseki enthusiast’s heart could desire.
