In the last decade, the world of Bonsai has been revolutionized, especially in the United States. In the last few years, Bonsai knowledge has been infuenced by bonsai masters from Japan, Taiwan, China, and Europe. Many apprentices like Michael Hagedorn, Ryan Neil and Bjorn Bjorholm, among others, have recently returned from studies in Japan and settled in the United States. Tis new revolutionary movement of young talent with great knowledge will help the quality of Bonsai in the USA for years to come.One of the biggest events in the United States of America is the US National Bonsai Exhibition held in Rochester New York held by Mr. William N. Valavanis. Te US National Bonsai Exhibition, which began in October 2008, is a magnifcent exhibition with par-ticipants from all over the United States.In addition to the US National Bonsai Exhibition, William N Valavanis and Louise Leister decided to work on a new project that is known as the US National Shohin Bonsai Exhibition. At the Winter Silhouette Facing page; The inaugural event, held in June, was picturesquely framed by a beautiful sunset.
