Afer attending the ABFF or Asia Pacifc Bonsai Friendship Federation in Mokpo City, South Korea, we the Indonesian Delegates, decided to continue our journey to Jeju Island which is not far from Mokpo. One of the places we visited was the folk museum. Unexpectedly at the end of our tour I got a bonus of visiting a Suseok Museum, something that I did not even dare to dream that I would fnd. Suseok is the name of suiseki or viewing stones in South Korea. Te museum was not big. Only 85 stones were on exhibit. Small stones were put on shelves protected by glass doors. Te refections made it a bit difcult for me to get good pictures of them. Anyhow, all were well arranged, neatly displayed and easy to enjoy. Most of the stones were put on daizas. A few were on suiban and doban. Tere were no scrolls or tokonoma alcoves like the way we fnd in the Japanese suiseki display. Most of the stones were of a good quality. It was said that they were donated by suseok lovers in Jeju island. Tere is a rule in Jeju island that people can bring stones to Jeju, but it is not allowed to take any stones out of Jeju island.Suseok is a popular art in Korea. Tere are many people collecting stones that mostly come from A Visit to a Suseok MuseumJeju Island, South KoreaBy Budi Sulistyo, IndonesiaTop and bottom left; Views of the exhibit space.Bottom right; A waterfall
