Forever Green: Eisei-en provides more options for serious bonsai enthusiasts in the USA
BTy Joe Grande, Canada
his summer, bonsai artist Bjorn Bjorholm realized a life-long dream when he officially opened his bonsai garden. This young bonsai
professional has over ten years of experience, starting with a six-year apprenticeship in Japan at Kouka-en, and continuing studies with master Keiichi Fujikawa as an artist in residence. Bjorn achieved international acclaim for his bonsai and his documentary skills when his series of videos The Bonsai Art of Japan—first published during his apprenticeship years— garnered millions of viewers worldwide.
When Bjorn is not on the international bonsai circuit delivering workshops and demonstrations at conven- tions and other events, he will be offering anyone near Nashville, Tennesee, a cornucopia of bonsai services.
Eisei-en means forever green, a hopeful concept that aims to enrich your bonsai practice through workshops, courses, consultations, and guided tours. Bjorn’s Japan Bonsai Tours to the 2019 Kokufu-ten is sold out!
BCI member Raul Reissner from Mexico attended the official opening and shared photos of the demon- strators at the event.
