Experience

Gourab established Bengal Bonsai in West Bengal in India. Bengal Bonsai is a concept. It is not a club or an organization. It is a group of like-minded bonsai-loving people helping each other.

The main concept is to focus on creating something different (the motto is to use trees as the medium of expression) in the field of bonsai relating to Bengal, representing the cultural tradition and diversity of India. Creating features that would signify and would make the bonsai in India significantly different with experimentation and work.

Bonsai has to have an optimum balance of artistic, natural aspects and visual appeal to capture the journey of its creation. It is a movement to improve Bonsai art in Bengal through the exchange of knowledge and skills with the help of like-minded bonsai enthusiasts.

Even with art, we try to scientifically explain design concepts.

Gourab has completed seminars and demos with Master Budi Sulitsyo from Indonesia and with Master Michael Morden from the Philippines.
