We are very happy to announce the first ever International Bonsai Convention in India organized by the Avadhota Datta Peetham and The Bonsai Study Group Mumbai and its affiliated Chapters in India. The convention is being supported by the World Organizations Bonsai Clubs International (BCI) and the World Bonsai Friendship Federation (WBFF).

The Kishkindha Moolika Bonsai Garden was established in 2005. It has an exquisite collection of more than 450 carefully shaped and miniaturized trees. The trees have been aesthetically displayed in oriental garden setting amidst the tranquil surroundings of the ashram.

The name of this garden has its origin from the Ramayana. Kishkindha Vana – a miniature forest was developed by Dadhimukha, maternal uncle of Sugriva, the king of Vanaras. The name ‘Kishkinda’ itself translates to compact or narrow space.

This lush gardens developed in the oriental style and aptly named as “Kishkindha Moolika Bonsai Garden” is a testimony to the love & care His Holiness Sri Swamiji has for nature and ecology.
