Born in 1995 with the aim of supporting the spread of bonsai and its related arts, Crespi Cup this year had an extraordinary participation in the exhibition-com-petitions with over 260 works of bonsai, suiseki and pots, brought by participants coming from all over Italy and several European countries (Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Spain, England, Poland), who have exhibited the best pieces of their collections, also covering thousands of kilometres just to reach the exhibition spaces of Crespi Bonsai, set in beau-tiful Japanese gardens. A result that may compare to the World Bonsai Convention held in Japan this April with 300 exhibits.At this twelfh Crespi Cup, unlike the previous oc-casions the 5 exhibition/competitions have been put together in a single weekend, ofering however all the same intense and engaging programs to enthusiasts.An exhibition of high quality ofered visitors ex-ceptional specimens, old or however mature trees, well cared and worked, with great expressive charac-ter; stones that have been able to immerse the public in natural scenery; and pots of peculiar colours and shapes but of unquestionable beauty.“At every new Crespi Cup I am surprised by the wonderful bonsai displayed, I can see with how much passion and dedication they have come to this event to display their plants at their best.” said Luigi Crespi. The great visiting artists at  the Crespi Cup Since its beginning, this event has hosted great names of Japanese bonsai and culture, profession-als, collectors and amateurs that revolve around the world of bonsai and suiseki.
