of Bonsai, spreading bonsai art, the master Daisaku Nomoto who brought to Italy the cool approach of a new-generation of artists, Edoardo Rossi, with whom we share the goals of spreading the culture of bonsai and especially of Kazari art, and teacher Rie Takeda of Chazen, world ambassador of the tea ceremony.Te special guest for bonsai, suiseki and pots, Mr. Kunio Kobayashi, is one of the most famous bonsai masters in the world who attracted large audiences to his his performances, ofering an unique approach to his creative style, always looking for the potentiality of the tree, to bring out the character and turn it into a masterpiece bonsai. Kobayashi held several demon-strations and workshops, starting on Friday evening during the opening ceremony, followed by a lesson dedicated to the art of Kazari. On Saturday, he was engaged all day with a workshop in which he taught improvement techniques for conifers to a large group of people. He continued to entertain suiseki lovers on Sunday morning with his lesson on suiseki “how to re-alise an evocative presentation with suiseki” and then in the afernoon with a surprising demonstration in which he worked a great specimen of Taxus cuspidata assisted by Edoardo Rossi.Joining Kunio Kobayashi, were the other great Jap-anese personalities of the bonsai world: Nobuyuki Kajiwara who has been the master of of Crespi Bon-sai’s University of Bonsai, who curates the University space, where together with some of his students, was engaged in teaching wiring and repoting.
