   Top left: Desert Ash, Fraxinus angustifolia. Informal upright. Dug from the wild in 2012 as a bare stump, all new branching grown from scratch and shaped with continual wiring and clipping.
Top right: Trident Maple, Acer buergerianum. Root over rock, imported from Japan 1999 when tree was 12 years old. Pot, Tokoname.
Middle: Chinese Elm, Ulmus parvifolia. Around 25 years old crafted / grown from a cutting, Designed by Mr. Hong.
Bottom left: English Elm, Ulmus procera. Planted as a group in 1998 the day after digging saplings from the wild. Training was clip and grow method with constant pinching, leaves now approximately 5-8 mm. Pot Chinese.
Bottom right: Japanese Black Pine, Pinus thunbergii. Grown for 8 years from a seedling. It was bent and twisted when young. Once the trunk was large enough its training began which included additional wiring and shaping.
